The history of Metallica

Metallica was formed in the beginning of the 80’s in los angeles when drummer Lars Ulrich placed a advertisement in a newspaper called ‘’the recycler’’. Guitarist James Hetfield react to it, he said that he can sing and play the rythem guitar. When James and Lars Meet each other for the first time, James was not very impressed by Lars his drum work, but after a lot of thinking he said Yes to Lars.

James and Lars where looking for a bandname. They asked much people. But no one knew a nice name. A friend of Lars whas starting a band arround the same time as Lars. But he had much names on a piece of paper, When Lars looked at the paper he read ‘’Metallica’’ So he took the name Metallica for his own band. He had the name a little bit ‘’stolen’’. The friend of lars never was angry of it.

Later They found a bass player called Cliffort lee Burton, Known as Cliff Burton, Cliff burton is a verry good bass player, and in my opinion the best one metallica ever had. And a little later they found dave mustaine. that whas in 1982.
Dave Mustaine was not very long in Metallica, in 1983 he was kicked out Metallica because of Alcohol Problems.

When Mustain was kicked out, He start a new band called Megadeth. Kirk hammet took over his place as lead guitarist. Before Mustaine kicked out, Metallica had already some wroted songs, where Mustaine played in. So in some older albums the name Dave mustaine’s name appears in the booklets of the CD’s and LP’s. Because he wrote some of the riffs.

The band is completed! So they start to record there first CD in 1983, They called it ‘’Kill Em All’’. And 1 Year and 2 days after Kill Em all They released they’re second album ‘’Ride the lightning’’.

In the Ride the lightnig tour, there was someting terrible happened with metallica, the tourbus was crashed and the Bass player Cliff died. It whas a poor time for the Metallica- guys. But a good bass player appeard called Jason Newsted. Metallica goes on for a long time, they wrote much albums and everything was right. Till Jason newsted kicked out the band. After then, Metallica was going backwards, They lose much fans and the albums resived bad comments. They had a deal with Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzy’s Bass player Robert Trujillo for Jason newsted. So Ozzy goes on with Jason and Robert goes on with Metallica.
